Application for FAMSACA $1000 Grant 2018

FAMSACA are providing educational sponsorships to our members in the 2018 year. These funds are to support enrolling in courses, attendance at sexual assault related educational events or conferences, or attending other sites of clinical practice.

There are 10 packages of $1000 available to current FAMSACA members.

Further Information

Applications for a FAMSACA grant will be considered for attendance at conferences, educational events or seminars in the field of forensic and/or sexual assault medicine.

Applicants need to be current financial FAMSACA members and will be considered based on their current role and access to alternative funding/grants and the applicability of the event/site they wish to attend. Previous successful applicants are welcome to apply however preference will be given to those who have not yet received funding from FAMSACA. 

Successful applicants will be notified by email. Successful applicants will be expected to submit a report summarising the event/site visits. It is expected that this report would be no more than 1-2 pages in length. This report will be distributed to all FAMSACA members in the interest of ongoing education.

  • For those attending a conference or educational event, it is expected that the report will outline the main aim of the event, summarise the key speakers and the key content, and then highlight the benefits and key learning objectives that you will take into your clinical practice.
  • For those attending a site visit, it is expected that the report will outline the reasoning behind the visit, key differences between the site and your current site and highlight the benefits and key learning objectives that you will take into your clinical practice.
